My friend Anders Kassem is passionate about neuroscience, and asked me to design a theme for his new blog on the topic.

I was inspired by the illustrations in classic medical texts, and I combined the illustrations with a modern 3D visualization of neurons in the brain. The excellent FF DIN typeface fit the visual identity nicely, and is used for the logo and headings.

Everything was delivered as a customizable Wordpress theme that enables Anders to tweak and modify individual posts easily.

Mathias Hansen from dotsquare reached out to me after developing the iPhone/Android app “Hvad har åbent nu?”. He needed a new look and feel for the interface, and there were several screens and flows that needed to be rethought altogether.

I made several revisions to the interface design on both iOS and Android, and also designed a new icon for the app. The redesign is an ongoing process, and Mathias and I release updates regularly.

In 2010, I was contacted by Henrik Kryger, who wanted me to redesign his existing website engodtale.dk, built in a basic WYSIWYG editor that had been supplied by the hosting company.

Henrik and his one-man business En God Tale (English translation: “A Good Speech”) specializes in professionally written speeches for parties, weddings, confirmations, etc.

After my initial assessment of the content, I decided to keep the one-page site structure. I condensed some of the content, and divided into distinct sections. The visual design was then built up around a typographic welcome graphic that was later reappropriated into Henrik's business card.

In order to satisfy my obsession with T-shirts, I started TeeGallery, a collection of designer T-shirts. The blog is curated by me and updated sporadically.

I made the site from the ground up. After deciding on a very simple information architecture, I designed the gallery and subpages, developed the front-end code, and integrated it into Wordpress.

Made during a time where the responsive design method wasn't a coherent set of concepts, TeeGallery was one of the first sites to utilize CSS media queries and a fluid grid. The site was subsequently featured in lots of blog posts showcasing responsive web design.

Filmporten is a movie club where members sign up and get large savings on movies at different arthouse cinemas in Denmark.

I was given a Photoshop design mockup, and from that I designed several subpages, the checkout process, and the monthly E-mail newsletter. In 2010 and 2011 I gradually improved the design, adding more refined graphical elements to the pages and changing the look and feel to fit with the themes each year.

One of my first assignments when I was hired as a web designer / developer at Billetsalget.dk was to redesign the home page. Billetsalget.dk sells tickets to cultural events, but it happens through custom intranets that are behind a login wall. The home page was

Everything was done within a work week: content inventory, information architecture, design, and development. The login system and the contact form is built in vanilla PHP.

In May of 2010, the copenhagen web firm Signal Digital hired me as a freelance front end developer. My first task was to take a rough Photoshop mockup and transform it into a fully working Wordpress theme.

I finalized the information architecture and the designs for each page, and ended up delivering a finished Wordpress theme/plugin combo. The custom theme panel allows authors to edit the background color on individual posts and customize headers / footers to fit changing needs.

I helped Epista IT design and develop the official website for their software product DeltaPoint. I was given a logo, a color scheme, and a few visual elements to get me started. Before any interface design, I made a content inventory and organized everything into a final information architecture. I then designed the different pages and went through several iterations with the Epista IT team.

The final site can be managed using the simple Perch CMS, which I customized to fit a few special requirements from the client.
